71% of Earth's surface is covered by ocean. Australia is surrounded by 4 seas. The Timor Sea which is off the coast of Broome in upper Western Australia, the Arafura Sea which is around the Darwin area, the Coral Sea surround the Great Barrier Reef to the East of Queensland, the Tasman sea lies between Tasmania and New Zealand. Past those seas lie 3 oceans that are spread around different parts of Australia. The Indian Ocean lies between Western Australia and Africa, the Southern Ocean lies underneath Australia and the Pacific Ocean is east of Queensland and runs down the Eastern side of Australia. There are many lakes, river, streams and damns in Australia aswell. Some example include lake Eildon which is in Victoria, Marshall's Lakes which are located in Nambour, Queensland and Lake Mcquarie, which is located in Morisett, New South Wales.
